Update on my life!
Over this past summer it can be noticed that the amount of writings and photos that I have shared and posted was a much smaller amount then typically. That is mainly due to simply not having much to share. So nearing the end of summer I wanted to write about where I am at in life. If you are on old follower, you may remember that I attend school at Olivet Nazarene University, in Bourbonnais, Illinois. This upcoming year, will be my junior year there and I am studying Theology and Christian Ministry with a concentration on Youth Ministry. I have also just recently picked up a minor in Family Studies. My major includes class from Philosophy, Theology, Biblical Literature, and Christian Education. The minor includes classes from Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, and Family and Consumer Science.
One of the things I have not ever talked about on here is that I am a Cross Country and Track/Field Distance Runner at Olivet. Going into college, I had some very bad paces and training experience. Last year it greatly improved, and this summer I have been working really hard on training to bring up my mileage and speed. I’m hoping for a really good cross season. I have just recently hit my largest amount of miles in one week, being at 70, and my longest run every which is now 15. As well during this summer, I have been reading two running themed books.
- The Runner’s Devotional by Dana Niesluchowski and Dave Veerman.
- Once A Runner by John L. Parker, Jr.
Another thing I want to share, is I am pretty big in watching different YouTube videos and channels. One of my favorite that I have been watching for the past two years is called The Bible Project. They are a channel that creates animated videos on Biblical Themes and on the Books of the Bible. They are incredibly good and easy to understand. I really recommend checking them out here: www.youtube.com/user/jointhebi…
Last thing. As I said in the start of this, I have reduced the amount that I put up on DeviantArt. I am not done with using this website, but I don’t think I will ever be as active on here and consist as I once was. Things will still come out from time to time, just not as much. With that said, something that I have thought about doing is creating a HeavenCalling twitter or tumblr, or a new social media. What I think I would want to do, is start sharing really good Christian quotes from everything on faith to theology to life. DeviantArt is not a very good website to share quick quotes, it’s not really for that. I am not to familiar with other social media websites, I have this and a personal Facebook account, so I am curious what would you guys think I should get if I were to make a another social media for quote sharing. If I do end up doing this, it will start around November or December, and I would give you guys a link then. But there is still a good chance that I may not do that. I really want to hear your thoughts on the idea, and everything else I wrote about here!
What I'm Reading! (Jan 2020)
Here's what on my reading list to begin a new decade:

"On the Journey: A Married Couple's Study Guide" by Dr. Max Reams
My wife and I will be using this book to guide this years devotionals:

Then I also was given a more fun book from a friend for Christmas:
"3000 Would You Rather Questions" published by Piccadilly (USA) Inc.
This past month we spent Christmas in Fountain Hills, Arizona. One of the highlights of this trip was driving two hours north to Sedona, Arizona where we explored the Chapel of t
A King is Born!
“The Angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’” (Luke 2:10-11)
That heavenly announcement is just as glorious for us today: No fear. Good news. Great joy. A Savior born to us. The Lord is here!
Fear of punishment and death melts away in God’s grace and the hope of heaven. The future holds no dread when we’re promised eternal joy through Jesus. Forgiveness and mercy take guilt and shame away. Our Deliverer has come - what can Satan or this world do to us?
