Godly Relationships 23: Wait and be GladIf you choose to have sex before you're married, you're going to regret it. And you're not going to stop regretting it any time soon. In fact, the decision to become sexually active is such a big decision that you'll probably keep thinking about it for the rest of your life. So do yourself a huge favor: abstain from sex until you say, "I do!"
Whenever you commit a sin, God will forgive you when you ask Him-but you may have a much harder time forgiving yourself. So the best way to avoid a lifetime of regrets is to listen to your conscience and obey your Father in heaven. When you do, you won't regret it.
Godly Relationships 27: Pray About ItOh, how glorious are the dreams of love-but oh how tough it is to turn those dreams into reality!
If you're still searching for Mr. or Miss Right, be patient, be prudent, and be picky. Look for a person whose values you respect, who behavior you approve of, and whose faith you admire. Remember that appearances can be deceiving and tempting, so watch your step. And when it comes to the important task of building lifetime relationships with the guy or girl of your dreams, pray about it! God is waiting to give His approval but He won't give it until He's asked. So ask, listen, and decide accordingly.
Godly Relationships 17: Media's Distorted MessagesSometimes it's hard being a Christian, especially when the world keeps pumping out messages that are contrary to your faith.
The media is working around the clock in an attempt to rearrange your priorities. The media says that your appearance is all-important, that your clothes are all-important, that partying is all-important, and that sex should be "recreational." But guess what, those messages are lies and can hurt you.
Next time you're attacked by a pack of 21st century media lies, don't be taken in. Forget the media hype, and pay attention to God. You owe it to God, and you owe it to yourself.
Godly Relationships 7: Shared ValuesIf you're still searching for Mr. or Mrs. Right, be patient, be prudent, and be picky. Look for someone whose values you respect, who behavior you approve of, and whose faith you admire. Remember that appearances can be deceiving and tempting. And when it comes to the important task of building a lifetime relationship with the guy or girl of your dreams, pray about it!
If you happen to be one of those very lucky ones who has already fallen madly in love with the same wonderful person who has already fallen madly in love with you, say a great thanks to the Matchmaker in heaven. But if you haven't yet found a soul-mate who honors both you and God, don't fret. Just keep trusting your Father in heaven, and keep yourself open to the direction in which He is leading you. And remember: God wants to give His approval, but He won't give it until He's asked. So ask, listen, and decide accordingly.
Godly Relationships 28: RejectionSometimes, you may feel pressured to compromise yourself, and you may be afraid of what will happen if you firmly say "No." You may be afraid that you'll be rejected. But here's a tip: don't worry too much about rejection, especially when you're rejected for doing the right thing.
Pleasing other people is a good thing...up to a point. But you must never allow your "willingness to please" to interfere with your own good judgement or with God's commandments.
Instead of being afraid of rejection, focus on pleasing your Creator first and always. And when it comes to the world and all its inhabitants, don't worry to much about the folks you can't please. Focus on doing the right thing and leave the rest up to God.
Godly Relationships 72: ConcernsThe Bible promises this: tough times are temporary but God's love is not-God's love endures forever. So what does that mean to you? Just this: From time to time, everybody faces disappointments and broken relationships-so will you. And when tough times arrive God always stand ready to protect you and to heal you. Your task is straightforward: you must share your burdens with Him.
As Corrie ten Boom observed, "Any concern that is too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden." Those are comforting words, especially during difficult days.
Whatever the size of your challenges, God is big enough to handle them. Ask for His help today, with faith and with fervor. Instead of turning things over in your mind, turn them over to God in prayer. Instead of worrying about your next decision, ask God to lead the way. Cast your burdens upon the One who cannot be shaken, and rest assured that He always hears your prayers.
Godly Relationships 16: Lasting RelationshipsIf you're trying to build a relationship based only on physical attraction, you'll be disappointed. Lasting relationships aren't built upon lust, they're built upon love. Real love.
How do you define love? Hopefully, you understand that it's something more than physical attraction. Genuine love is patient, understanding, consistent, and considerate. Genuine love doesn't just sit around and do nothing; it get translated into acts of kindness-large and small.
Love is always a choice. Sometimes we may "fall in love," but it takes work to stay there. Sometimes we may be "swept off our feet," but the "sweeping" is only temporary. Sooner or later, if love is to endure, one most plant one's feet firmly on the ground. The decision to love another person for a lifetime is much more than simple process of "falling in" or "being swept up." It requires "reaching out," "holding firm," and "lifting up." Love becomes a decision to honor and care for the other person.
Godly Relationships 20: PrioritiesHave you asked God to help prioritize your life? Have you asked Him for guidance and for the courage to do the things that you know need to be done? If so, then you're continually inviting your Creator to reveal Himself in a variety of ways. As a follower of Christ, you must do no less.
When you make God's priorities your priorities, you will receive God's abundance and peace. When you make God a full partner in every aspect of your life, He will lead you along the proper path. When you allow God to reign over your heart, He will honor you with spiritual blessings that are simply too numerous to count. So as you live your life, make God's will your ultimate priority. When you do, every other priority will have a tendency to fall neatly into place.
Godly Relationships 11: Listen To Your ConscienceBilly Graham, correctly observed, "Most of us follow our conscience as well as we follow a wheelbarrow." We push it in front of us in the direction we want to go." To do so is a profound mistake. Yet all of us have failed to listen to the voice that God planted in our hearts, and all of us have suffered the consequences.
God gave you a conscience for a very good reason: to make your path conform to His will. Wise believers make it to a practice to listen carefully to that quiet internal voice. Count yourself among that number. When your conscience speaks, listen and learn. In all likelihood, God is try to get His message through, and it is the message that you desperately need to hear.
Overcoming ObstaclesRecognize Your Vulnerability
The Lord has a beautiful plan for each believer’s life. But to thwart God’s purposes, Satan sprinkles obstacles in our path.
There are many types of hindrances, such as a difficult boss, contrary family members, and financial trouble. Anything that blocks a desired goal can cause anxiety and great frustration. But remember that no obstacle can touch you without God’s consent.
Consider Joshua’s army, which was no match for Jericho’s military. And the great wall protecting that city was an impossible barrier to cross. Yet God had promised the Israelite

The Father Who Gives You Strength
This excerpt is taken from "The Father Who Gives You Strength" by Max Lucado
It all happened in one day. One day he could choose his tee time at the nicest golf course in the country; the next he couldn’t even be the caddie. One day he could Lear jet across the country to see the heavyweight bout at the Las Vegas Mirage. The next he couldn’t afford a city bus across town.
Talk about calm becoming chaos. . .
The first thing to go is his empire.
Thoughts on Isaiah 6A really famous verse that gets quoted again and again when we talk about missions is Isaiah 6:8, from the calling of Isaiah. How about we look more closely at the context? Let's open our Bibles to Isaiah 6:113. ^^ Or click here: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=isaiah%206:1-13&version=ESV
Isaiah has a vision of God one that is great and terrible. No one can see God and live: even the seraphim need to cover themselves (v.2). Isaiah thinks he is going to die (v.5), on the one hand because he recognises his sinfulness, on the other hand because he recognises God's holiness. Isaiah realises that he is sinful, and that his sinfulness is not compatible with God's holiness. But it does not end there: Isaiah does not die. Instead, he receives cleansing and forgiveness (v.67).
And then comes the call of God: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" And Isaiah's reply: "Here am I; send me!"
Does Isaiah know what he's saying yes to? God's call is very ge
Just a reminder to believers in JesusI just want to remind us as believers in Jesus we need to pray hard for new believers of Jesus. We need to lift them up to God and allow Jesus to work in them. I Pray for us to lead, teach, and guide them as they try to walk with Jesus. Lord do not let us judge them but show us how to love them. God I pray they seek you and find a church home so we can give them strength through the blood of Jesus. I pray when they fall we will be there to pick them up. I pray we can live for you Jesus and show the world your love. I pray most of all that we share with them you can't change, it has to come from Jesus. We need to share with them it will be a hard road and it won't be easy. I pray we tell them we must give up self and live for Jesus. I pray we show them what it means to live for Jesus. I pray we can help each other and have faith in God and seeking Him through Jesus, in Jesus name, Amen
Being a ChristianBeing a Christian is more than just saying we believe. It is more than just saying a prayer, if you say a prayer but have no change in your life then you may want to think about your salvation in Jesus christ.
John 3:6-7 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Mark 8:35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.
Want more look up Galatians 2:20, Galatians 5:24, Luke 9:23
Too many people are worried about what God can do for them. Why not ask yourself what 'YOU' can do for Him? I am not calling you out I am just saying friends we need to know saying a sinner's prayer does not save you. It's not the prayer that works in you. It is Jesus who works in you. God did not send His son to die for our sins and we not have to serve Him. Jesus said carry your cross daily meaning to seek
Objective Proof of GodIf I tossed a coin 2000 times and called it right every single time, what would you think?
I can only imagine some of the things you would be thinking, but they would all stem from one rationalization: that what was happening defied logic.
To make sure we are on the same page, let me give you some quick facts about the Bible: The Bible was written over a span of about 1500 years (from 1445 BC to 95 AD) in 3 continents, in 3 languages, by 40 authors, and has 66 books. It's mostly a collection of letters written to churches. We can verify the dates of the books of the Bible through the efforts of historians, linguists, and archeologists.
" . . . a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. . . They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." Psalm 22: 17-18
What event is this verse referring to? If you have a basic knowledge of Christianity, then you know this is talking about Jesus' crucifixion. If you
Live for Jesus not for a religionYou say I am being religious but I don't have a religion, I have Jesus, He lives in me. You say I am being ridiculous but doesn't it sound like your being ridiculous for not believing in Jesus. You see me and say, "he has changed, he found religion" but I say thank you Jesus. God crushed religions, it is an abomination, we don't need a religion we need Jesus. Was Jesus being ridiculous when He died for our sins? Jesus didn't die for us to have a religion. He gave us life so He might dwell in us. Now if He wasn't ridiculous for dying for us and He didn't do it for a religion. Wouldn't you say living for Jesus and giving your life up for Him isn't ridiculous? If Jesus gave up His life for us then why would we think we are not called to do the same for Him. Love God seek His glory in Jesus, if we beleive in Him and the word of God to be true then where does it say live in Jesus but also keep doing things as the world would do? Now I am not saying to change, you can't but what I am saying
Godly Relationships 24: Building RelationshipsDo you want to build a relationship that lasts? Then you must start by making God the cornerstone of your relationship.
God does not intend for you to experience mediocre relationships; He created you for greater things. Building lasting relationships requires compassion, wisdom, empathy, kindness, courtesy, and forgiveness.
If that sounds like a lot of work, it is-which is perfectly fine with God. Why? Because He knows that you are cable of that work, and because He knows that the fruits of your labor will enrich the lives of your loved ones and the lives of generations yet unborn.
