Christianity is testable. You can actually investigate the evidence. Jesus didn’t just claim to be God. He did miracles, of which we have public evidence, and documented proof through many sources outside of the Bible to back up those claims.
Christianity has eyewitness testimony. 515 people touched, saw, or encountered Jesus Christ after the resurrection from the dead. This is also all documented evidence, even outside the Bible. Eyewitness testimony is such strong evidence, that in a court of law, when large groups of people come forward with eyewitness testimonies, it is used as irrefutable proof. Additionally, people actually went their deaths testifying that they saw the risen Christ.
Jesus preformed verifiable miracles. Along with the eyewitness testimony of the resurrection of Christ, we also have eyewitness testimony of all Jesus miracles. In addition, many sources outside the Bible refer to Jesus as “unexplainable acts that must be some sort of magic.”
Now compare this with Islam, where Mohammad went into a cave, claimed to have received a revelation, and then he came out of the cave and delivered it to the people, but he gave no evidence, and performed no miracles to back anything up.
You ask a Mormon them how they know that they religion is true and they will tell you that it is a “burning in their bosom.”
Buddhism says to empty your mind completely. In fact Buddha said that if anyone does a miracle, they are not his followers.
So if you are seeking-or you are on a “truth quest”, it makes sense to start with something that is actually testable.
Christianity is also FREE. Salvation is FREE. That is completely unique to Christianity. In Islam, you earn salvation. In Mormonism you earn your right to be a god of your own universe. In Buddhism, you earn the right to be reincarnated over and over until you reach enlightenment. In fact Buddhists will say that humans are an “Anata” which is a no-soul, everything changes life to life, and there is nothing permanent. It is only Christianity that shows you that Salvation is totally a free gift from God.
So why start with a religion where it is supposed to take you millions of lives in the reincarnation cycles if Christianity is free?

So what do I say to the skeptics? Until the critics and skeptics resumes can trump Jesus resume, I am going with Jesus.
